McRae Tech Ads Reporter

Privacy
policy.

Last updated October 20, 2026

This policy explains how McRae Tech LLC ("we") handles Google user data in McRae Tech Ads Reporter, the tool we use to report on and manage the Google Ads account we run for a client. It covers what the tool reads, how we use and protect that data, who processes it for us and how you can revoke access.

What the tool reads

The tool connects to the Google Ads API with one permission, access to Google Ads, and reads data from the Google Ads accounts we manage:

  • Campaigns, ad groups, ads and keywords, along with their settings
  • Spend, budgets, impressions, clicks, calls and conversions
  • Keyword ideas and search volumes from Google's Keyword Planner

It doesn't read Gmail, contacts, files or any other Google data, and it never receives the names or contact details of the people who see or click the ads.

How we use it

We use this data only to report on and run our client's ads: showing the client what the ads cost and what they brought in, making the campaign changes the client has agreed to (such as the hours the ads run), and planning keywords and budgets. We don't sell it, use it for other advertising or use it to build profiles of anyone.

Security

Google Ads data, and the credentials that connect to it, are kept in encrypted, access-controlled storage and travel only over encrypted connections. Access is limited to McRae Tech LLC and the client who owns the ad account.

Service providers

A few companies process this data for us, and we share it with them only so they can provide their service:

  • Google, whose Google Ads API is where the data comes from.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and the client's website, including the database where monthly ad spend totals are kept for the client's reports.
  • Anthropic, whose AI assistant, Claude, helps us analyze reports.

We share the data with no one else, unless the law requires it.

Retention

We keep this data for as long as we manage the account. Within 30 days of the work ending we delete it, unless the client asks us to hand it over first.

Google's rules

Our use of data from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and we do not use Google Ads data to train AI models.

How to revoke access

You can remove the app from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or remove our access in Google Ads under Admin, then Access and security.

Once you do, the tool can no longer read or change the account. If you'd also like us to delete what we've already saved, email us.
